With Coffee Shop. :-)
Recommended by Sarita Rose, Elsie Green, Lucky Dolan & Donna Fullman.
Donna says, "A brilliantly-chosen, eclectic range of short stories, literary classics, illustrated treasures and other treats. A cafe upstairs with big tables where you can sit and write all day."
The Kemp Town Bookshop also offers a range of events, seminars are workshops
"Some bookshops are just the best places to meet new friends. This bookshop is the best example
of that I know. Downstairs is just books and upstairs they have a small and friendly cafe that serves a range of delicioius salads for lunch. Recently I met the wonderful spiritual/travel/narrative non-fiction author Piers Moore-Ede here and we were fortunate to be able to stay for several hours while the rain outside came down in lines. Really friendly staff and they are even dog friendly. Here's Piers with his serious face - me with my usual grin and Tilly in her 'stroke my stomach please' position. This shop is worth moving to Brighton for." Isabel
